Dr. Aroke is an internationally recognized CRNA Pain Scientist whose program of research focuses on racial pain disparities. Dr. Aroke has an interdisciplinary project that aims to identify the role of epigenomic and transcriptomic modifications in racial disparities in chronic low back pain.
His scholarship has resulted in over 60 peer-reviewed publications, and many nationally and internationally presentations on pharmacogenomics, pain disparities, and anesthesia outcomes.
Dr. Aroke is a Fellow of the American Association Nurse Anesthesiology (FAANA), Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (FADLN) and Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). He is currently the Assistant Dean for Research and Scholarship at UAB and the Editor in Chief of the AANA Journal.
