Dr. Bijal Chaturvedi is a CRNA and an FNP with more than two decades of clinical experience. She serves as a Director for the Illinois Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (IANA), where she advocates for the profession and equitable access to care across the state. As a member of the AANA Political Action Committee (PAC) and an appointed Precinct Committeeman within the Democratic Party of Illinois, she is deeply engaged in legislative advocacy, civic leadership, and strengthening healthcare policy at both the state and national levels.
Dr. Chaturvedi is also a professor at Rosalind Franklin University, where she teaches Chemistry and Physics in Anesthesia and mentors future nurse anesthetists, fostering excellence and leadership among emerging clinicians. In addition to her academic work, she lectures at universities and professional meetings across the country, speaking on advocacy, leadership, and innovation in healthcare. She is passionate about the integration of artificial intelligence and technological innovation to improve patient outcomes, expand access, and advance the future of anesthesia and healthcare delivery.
Her humanitarian work spans global and community health initiatives through her nonprofit organization, which addresses disparities in healthcare access by implementing clean water, solar energy, primary care, and health education programs in underserved regions. Her dedication to humanitarian service inspired her to earn her Family Nurse Practitioner certification, allowing her to extend her impact through primary care delivery.
